“Docile consumers – that’s the way to go”. Some of you might recognize that quote from Ghost in the Shell, 2nd gig, last episode called “Endless gig”, towards the end of the episode, when the Imperial American agent kills Hideo Kuze. Taken out of context and viewed alone, this sentence doesn’t mean much. However if you look at the complete storyline of this season, it’s an interesting point of view compared to today’s politics.
Wikileaks published the censorlist of a German provider named Lycos, which ceased to exist in November 2008. It is quite interesting what Lycos all filtered, as it’s quite clear to see that it definitely does not only include outright criminal websites, but also legal sites, or at some points in a forum only a certain thread. Keep in mind though that the list is almost a year old.
Of course, this most likely will also be true for many many other forums, in which help is sought/given. However I’m ranting from my view when going through the Wordpress.org forums, so it’s obviously Wordpress based, and maybe also biased 
Wordpress Forums offer a few subforums, such as How-To and Troubleshooting, Plugins and Hacks, WP-Advanced, and more. These three are those I browse, with preference in the Plugins and Hacks forum, to keep an eye on updates or issues with plugins I use. It is fairly well visited, while How-To and Troubleshooting is the most frequented forum of all, judging by the amount of topics in there (almost three times as much as the 2nd largest forum, Plugins and Hacks, ca. 141k topics vs. 55.7k topics at the time of writing).
