Zensursula wants Internet code of conduct
And again Zensursula (German Federal Minister for family, youth etc.) hits the news with rubbish. After her FUD campaign regarding legislating internet censorship in Germany on basis of fighting child pornography on the internet, she now wants to set up a rule book of behaviour on the internet.
Her newest coup is setting up a code of conduct for youths in social networks. The planning will include further people with responsibilities (probably ISPs , politicians and others with influence, no specific group mentioned in reports) as well as young users. According to her statements, the code of conduct will include youthful users to be vigilant in the use of social networks, as adults could sneak into their chats with bad intentions. It seems that all she sees nowadays is child pornography. Nonetheless, the topic of (potential) child pornography is usually a k.o. criteria / killer argument, because arguing against anything of this sort will make you look like a paedophile yourself. Infact the politicians more than once labelled opponents of the internet censorship exactly that, paedophiles or supporters of paedophiles.
While the concept idea of having a code of conduct in the internet isn’t bad, we have seen just recently what ideas with basically a good idea can end up in, namely the internet censorship infrastructure in Germany. Therefore no idea nor suggestion by this criminal should be trusted.
As of this date, there’s not much more information available, however I will update once more comes to light.
